A robust, transparent measure of employee engagement

Enabling progressive employers to attain 1, 2 or 3 star status and benchmark against the best

Has your organisation got what it takes?

The Best Companies Accreditation Standard follows the elite Michelin style star rating system for organisations that demonstrate high levels of employee engagement. Based on staff feedback, organisations receive a Best Companies Index score (BCI) which will determine their star rating compared to a fixed standard – 'one to watch' is good, one star is very good, two stars are outstanding and three stars are extraordinary.

Why take part?

  • Attract the best talent
  • Celebrate your success
  • Make your employees proud
  • Benchmark yourself against other organisations
  • Measure your performance against a fixed standard

Participation in the programme helps us to attract quality staff who are looking for a long, progressive career rather than just a job

The BCI equation

The impact of achieving 3 star accreditation status has been really profound. It gives us credibility and allows us to open doors we couldn't have opened before.

~ Eamon Fitzgerald

How it works

Best Companies Accreditation star ratings are awarded based on your BCI Score — our unique measure of employee engagement. We measure your employees via our "b heard" survey and audit your policies and practices via our Company Questionnaire.

The answer is a resounding yes.

What you'll learn:
