'Big effort and even bigger smiles.' Fast-growing travel company Ocean Holidays has ambitions to be one of the most admired, well-known and trusted brands in the industry. And it knows this is only possible by having a thriving, happy workforce.

The London-based company specialising in Florida travel – including home rentals to the travel trade – and personalised luxury leisure and business travel management is 'constantly striving to be the best employer it can be' – listening to what employees need and adapting.

As a result, it's boosted the amount of annual leave by three days, including offering a birthday day off. It's also implemented an across-the-board pay increase and profit share scheme. And a new online reward portal offers staff discounts and is a place to reward and recognise great work and behaviours.

And Ocean Holidays is hot on communication, ensuring colleagues can keep connected with the business and each other wherever they choose to base themselves.

The Co-CEO hosts a monthly all-company Town Hall on Teams outlining the current business status, plans and forecasts. He also invites questions, including via a confidential platform, with a commitment to answer them honestly and openly. This update is supplemented by a fortnightly newsletter with everything from business news to financial advice and colleague birthdays.

And there are plenty of opportunities for in-person get-togethers at Ocean Holidays, from regular guest speakers to the summer and Christmas parties.
