About Parogon Pub Group

The Parogon Pub Group offers a relaxed dining experience and strives to deliver excellent customer service with passion and integrity.

Based in Staffordshire, the company is a privately owned, independent company that was started in 2007, and is now led by five local directors.

Parogon Pub Group has made a pledge to raise and donate £50,000, before 2020, for its chosen charity, the Douglas Macmillan Hospice. The Douglas Macmillan Hospice is a local facility that provides many services and care to members of the community. Several members of the Parogon staff have been touched over recent years by how their relatives have been looked after at the hospice.

This year they have taken part in a 5K run and a community football tournament, and provided raffle prizes for Newcastle under Lyme school, Baldwins Gate school and the Parogon Junior Water Polo team.

Their Senior management team lead by example. For example, their Operations Director, Business Development Manager and Operations Support Managers all worked in sites, performing roles such as kitchen cleaning, portering, prepping, Line Chef or Kitchen Manager as well as front of house work.

They use a combination of internal and external training resources to help develop individuals achieve their goals and give them the necessary skills to complete their job roles confidently. Area trainers attend sites to coach staff in key areas and identify key individuals for fast tracking.

They have worked to reduce their plastic consumption as part of an effort to lower their impact on the environment. They changed their straw supplier and now use biodegradable alternatives, removing a quarter of a million plastic straws from their annual waste.
