About Lakeland

Founded in 1964, Lakeland has been supplying kitchenware and home solutions for over 50 years. Their dedication to delivering high quality products — and to customer satisfaction — has seen Lakeland become one of the leading kitchenware companies in the UK.

With its head office in Windermere, 68 stores nationwide and further stores trading internationally, Lakeland employes around 1430 people. They hold monthly information and consultation meetings with representatives from all areas of the business in attendance.

Lakeland also have a store buddy scheme which connects directors and store managers — making sure the leadership knows exactly what is going on in the business. CEO Catherine Nunn regularly visits the stores and the distribution centre, and occasionally works shifts in both. But when it comes to engaging with the workforce, she always delivers a personal touch. Greeting cards signed by all the company directors are sent to employees who have undergone major life events.
