The Skills Network provides technology-enabled training and skills solutions both nationally and internationally. It supports employers, educators and learners by developing and delivering effective and innovative skills training and educational content.

The organisation has a specific mission to combine innovative technology and outstanding customer service to help enrich lives through learning and to inspire and nurture this ethos worldwide.

The company’s four core principles of achieving excellence, inspiring, developing talent and collaborating for success are embedded in everyday work at The Skills Network in order to achieve their overall mission. These four core principles form part of the recruitment process and employee reviews to ensure everyone is working to the same goal.

To support professional development The Skills Network encourages colleagues to take up a level 2 qualification in their relevant field.

On top of this, all managers are encouraged to take part in the internal management development programme, Manager's toolkit. This is a programme made up of 7 sessions: difficult conversations, absence management, behaviour management, conflict management, recruitment, performance management, onboarding and induction. It is an interactive lunch and learn programme which encourages managers to share best practice and learn from one another.
