With over 30,000 customers Stockport Homes delivers housing related services to a wide demographic, including homeless people, older people in sheltered accommodation and those with disabilities, transforming lives in the communities it serves.

Stockport Homes are a strong values driven organisation delivering services through their 'ASPIRE' values; Ambition, Social, Responsibility, Passion, Innovation, Respect and Excellence.

The housing association pride themselves on being forwarding thinking and innovative to ensure they maximise all available funding to the benefit of their customers, some of whom are the most disadvantaged in their communities. This is demonstrated by their mission of 'One Team - Transform Lives' which is delivered in many different ways, from fitting a new kitchen in a tenants home to supporting someone to live independently who has been homeless for years.

The organisation is committed to the development and continuous improvement of its people and services and strives to deliver excellence for their customers. They never become complacent and have a culture that is always striving for improvement and embraces change.

Stockport Homes are passionate about enabling employees to learn, grow and aspire to be the best they can be. Employees are involved in key decisions and are able to feedback their opinions through a staff representative group called 'Staff Voice'.

All Managers have undertaken their 'Fierce Leadership Development Programme'. One of the models implemented throughout the organisation as a consequence of this programme is called 'Mineral Rights' which focuses on a coaching conversation. Following on from the programme they use this model to provide on-going coaching top down and bottom up.

Stockport Homes have a variety of initiatives to help ease workplace stress. These include in-house holistic therapies and massages, Yoga and weekly wellness walks and access to the Employee Assistance Program or specialist counsellor. Their award winning Active Listeners are also able to signpost and support staff experiencing workplace stress.
