Kainos create bespoke services and platforms for public, private and heathcare organisations around the world, and build innovative software platforms that make life easier for their clients and their customers.

To support delivery of the Kainos strategy, their underpinning people management approach focuses on 'attracting, developing, and retaining the best talent', and includes individual KPIs around each of these key areas.

Kainos offer their people diverse learning opportunities, be that on the job, or through coaching, mentoring and formal training.

Kainos know that their staff learn in different ways which means that classroom-based teaching is not always best, or enough. Kainos believe that a blended '70:20:10' approach to learning is best, involving work-based challenges, coaching, mentoring and social learning, and face to face training.

This approach is based on the premise that 70% of learning comes from on the job experience, 20% from relationships with others, and the remaining 10% from formal development. This 70:20:10 principle underpins the learning and development approach at Kainos, and this blended mix of learning is reflected in their talent development plans.
