Wolverhampton Homes are a social housing management company that manages and looks after around 23,000 homes on behalf of the City of Wolverhampton Council.
They’re an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO), which was setup in 2005, and they are currently led by Chief Executive Shaun Aldis following the retirement of Lesley Roberts in 2017.
The company hosts a ‘Talktimes’ event twice a year, which gives staff members the chance to hear about what’s going on at Wolverhampton Homes directly from the chief executive and directors. It also gives employees an opportunity to meet other colleagues, ask questions and make suggestions for improvements to services and employment issues.
Wolverhampton Homes also runs their ‘Proud to be Me Network’ that is made up of LGBT and straight colleagues. They work together to make Wolverhampton Homes a gay-friendly place to work. It has become the most successful staff network the company has had.
