About

Originally founded over 150 years ago, Darlington Building Society provide savings accounts and mortgages for their clientele.

The Building Society started out with just 14 members, but is now spread across 10 branches in the local area with a new Head Office.

One thing that hasn't changed is the close family feel which runs through the organisation. New starters are quickly made to feel at home as employees go out of their way to introduce themselves and offer any advice required. The society's commitment to people has continued to develop over the years. They provide the training required, not just to succeed for the organisation but also to allow people to progress in their careers beyond the organisation.

The Society's annual staff engagement calendar is packed full of events and incentives for employees. This seeks to reward them beyond the remuneration of salary and bonus and encourages time together outside of the 9 to 5, as well as rewarding inside working hours. From the family fun day, annual staff ball with awards ceremony, Valentine's Day celebrations, Halloween activities to the grand finale of the 25 Days of Christmas gift giveaway, there is something on for everyone.
