About Abbott Risk Consulting

Abbott Risk Consulting (ARC) Ltd have established a strong international reputation for providing safety, engineering and risk management consultancy services to the nuclear, oil and gas, defence, mining and rail sectors.

ARC was established nearly two decades ago with a very simple business case and strong core principles. The organisation is built on people and they put them at the heart of everything they do.

ARC's open culture and flat structure creates transparency within the business. This allows and encourages their employees to feedback and suggest new ideas. All feedback is listened to, evaluated and then the employee will be supported in developing the idea further.

ARC realises that it's strength and success lies in the hands of its employees. As their consultants are dispersed then they place great importance on getting their teams together to thank them and strengthen bonds. ARC invited all employees to Edinburgh from around the world for their last conference.

All ARC staff are granted shares in the company through a tax efficient share scheme, which, through a company loan, enables their staff to utilise the scheme without using their own funds. All staff are granted a minimum of 1500 shares.

ARC is founded on strong values, which were built into its original business plan. Its principles are simple; maintain a flat organisational structure, treat everyone fairly, be open/transparent, support all staff to be the best they can be, and "make money, be happy". 
 ARC encourages an open and trusting environment for the wellbeing of it's staff. They encourage everyone to speak openly to other staff members/managers about workplace or personal stress they may be dealing with in order to put practical measures in place to support them. To ensure that their employees feel comfortable in doing this they promote trust in each other by frequent team building and social nights out. ARC also has an employee assistance programme available to any staff member.
