About Albany Software Ltd

What is it like to work for Albany Software Ltd

My Manager
My Manager
Managers review objectives regularly during individual and group meetings and provide constructive feedback to assist with the completion of tasks. Managers offer support as mentors or where appropriate, nominate key individuals to assist with the mentoring process which includes reviews. Many employees within the company are involved in reporting against departmental objectives monthly and Managers work through the results with them. Other employees report against individual objectives and all is fed back into overall reports.

The company offers a healthcare scheme which becomes effective once an employee has completed their probationary period with Albany. The monthly scheme is always paid for in full by Albany and it entitles the employee to claim directly for a range of medical costs including dental, optical and physiotherapy. The employee can then choose to increase this level of cover if they wish, for a small charge, which is deducted from their monthly salary. Another effective initiative Albany put in place for the benefit of its employees was the breakout area. This light and airy space was included in the plans for the new building that the company moved to in 2007, in order to accommodate more employees. The breakout area provides employees with a space within which they can take a break from work, eat their lunch, read the paper, answer phone calls or simply relax.

On December 10 2010, the company held their annual Christmas Party and put on a stunning Venetian-style Masquerade Ball and invited everyone at Albany Software to buy or create a mask for the occasion. On the night, there were awards for the most spectacular mask, the most creative mask, the most striking male and the most dazzling female. The Ball was well attended by 40 staff and 21 of their partners and everyone there enjoyed themselves, seeming to relish the occasion to let their hair down at the end of a challenging year. As always, these events are a great opportunity for staff at all levels including the Senior Management team to communicate and interact.
