Anthony Nolan match incredible individuals willing to donate their blood stem cells or bone marrow to people with blood cancer and disorders who desperately need life-saving transplants.
Founded in 1974 by Shirley Nolan after her three-year old son Anthony was in urgent need of a bone marrow transplant. The organisation set up the world’s first register to match donors with people in desperate need.
Today, Anthony Nolan help three people each day find that lifesaving match. There are more than 600,000 potential donors on the register, giving hope to people in need of transplants.
The organisation also conducts world-class research into stem cell matching and transplants, so they can make sure every person in need gets the best possible treatment.
High profile supporters of the charity include Olivia Colman and Joanna Lumley.
Their head office is in London, led by Chief Executive Henny Braund.
