About Bristol Airport

Bristol Airport are a commercial airport serving the city of Bristol and the surrounding areas. They are the ninth busiest airport in the UK, providing services to more than 9 million passengers a year.

The organisation's ambition is 'to be everyone's favourite airport, delivering a future we can all be proud of'. To do this, employees work towards five core principles everyday: Making a difference; Working with passion; One team, one family; Always aiming high; Doing what's right.

The airport is always looking out for like-minded people to help the organisation grow, which is why a £500 reward is provided to employees who refer someone to the organisation that passes their probation period.

Bristol Airport are conscious that stress can affect anyone within the organisation because of this an Employee Assistance Programme was set up to support employees 24/7 on all aspects of wellbeing, and is inclusive of family members also.

The organisation are keen to give back to the local community. The airport supports the initiative of 'Santa Flight' which provide a unique experience for children and their families. Bristol Airport worked to provide a 'Santa Flight' with approximately 220 beneficiaries. The airline provided an aircraft for a one hour scenic flight from Bristol Airport for families from a variety of local charities including British Heart Foundation, Bristol Heart Institute and CHSW to enjoy a Christmas party in the sky and meet Santa.

Bristol Airport have their own employee forum 'People, Planet, Place' and several sub committee working groups. The groups meet regularly and have a dedicated project budget.

Bristol Airport's Environmental Committee is part of the employee forum 'People, Planet, Place'. Employees from the committee have arranged events for plastic-free July, including bottles made from recycled materials and bamboo mugs. There are also initiatives to support lift shares among colleagues and they installed electric vehicle charging points at the new administration hub.
