With the organisation growing quickly, the wellbeing of all employees is of great importance. The past couple of years have seen a huge emphasis on mental health awareness and creating a culture where mental health is talked about openly. Breakout areas where employees can relax or play games and encouraging employees to actively take breaks from the desk are all initiatives to relieve stress.
For employees at Citation, team building days can often include volunteering at local charities. In the past, teams have volunteered at local homeless shelters making sandwiches and hot drinks. Citation regularly host food and shoe collection initiatives for the local food and shoe banks. Finally, at Christmas there is always a collection of Christmas gifts for children to be donated to 'Mission Christmas' by Cash 4 Kids.
To ensure that hard work does not go unnoticed, Citation hold a colleague award ceremony at the annual party where employees vote for their peers in several different categories. Those who receive the most nominations collect a physical trophy and vouchers ranging from £250 to £1000 for the star award. Each employee receives a personalised letter from the MD outlining all comments that they received.
