About Croud

Croud provides digital marketing services, spanning PPC, SEO, content, programmatic, paid social and analytics for leading brands across various sectors.

The business was founded in 2011 by Ben Knight and Luke Smith. They were both previously working at agencies but felt frustrated with the way that they were run. After a few meetings and some good ideas, Croud was born. Croud originally began as a paid search agency but in a few short years they have now expanded and cover all areas of digital.

Croud is home to one of the largest global networks of digital specialists. They currently operate in 100+ markets, in 77 different languages and have 1,200+ remote digital specialists that are able to respond in real-time on the ground, with knowledge of the latest tools and trends linked to that specific market. Croud is a performance agency and are geared towards delivering results through technology and global reach.

Weekly lunch and learn sessions, hosted either by someone at Croud or an external partner, give employees the chance to both expand their knowledge, whether on a topic directly related to Croud's work in digital marketing or something completely unrelated and enjoy a complimentary lunch. This benefit is one of the most appreciated among the employee base.

Croud run a company-wide Performance Management Programme that encompasses end-to-end performance and development. This starts at the induction process, runs through probation plans and aspects that an employee will need to know and be trained on. After probation, Croud runs a core competency benchmarking framework to support the development of all employees. This benchmarking underpins their quarterly Personal Development Plans which are designed to support the employee to develop within their role as well as to develop more general business skills.

When joining Croud,a company breakfast/lunch welcome event is hosted to introduce the new member of staff to the full team to help them get acquainted. An internal email will be sent to introduce the new starter which will then be published in their monthly newsletter also. There will be at least a week of induction, which includes a centralised induction that takes place over 3 days. During this first week, the staff member will have the opportunity to meet with each team either in person or via Google Hangout so that they are able to quickly build relationships and settle into their roles.
