EKM is one of the UK's largest e-commerce platforms for UK businesses and has helped over 80,000 people to start selling online. They help businesses create their own e-commerce shops. With a range of plans to choose from, new or existing businesses can get started with an online shop.
The organisation was created by Antony Chesworth and launched officially in 2002. After seeing how difficult it was for small businesses to create an effective e-commerce website without any prior technical knowledge, Antony decided to create a platform that combined all of the different aspects of an online shop in one place; the payment gateway, shopping cart, domain, email, products and categories could all be managed in the one place, making it easy for even the most 'technophobic' of customers to easily create their own e-commerce shop.
Since 2002, EKM has grown from strength to strength thanks to over 70 dedicated employees. Due to this, EKM look to celebrate the continued efforts from employees.
EKM have two reward schemes:'Be Proud' and 'EKM Heroes'. 'Be Proud' asks employees to state if there is anything that they have done within the last 30 days that they are proud of. 'EKM Heroes' asks employees to nominate someone else for something they have done.
Heroes are given prizes on a monthly basis and it can be anything from something small, such as a lunch voucher, to a Chrome cast or similar. The yearly 'Be Proud' winner most recently won a holiday for them and all their family.
