What is it like to work for Eames Consulting Group

My Manager
My Manager
Eames provide coaching sessions for all of their management team. Conducted on a one to one basis, the coach is specifically chosen for the individual and their needs, as the coach/coachee relationship is the most important aspect in ensuring the effectiveness of these sessions. To further support the management team, twice a year Eames conduct a group session that is supported by one of the external coaches. This supports the company’s partnership value to ensure the leadership work in a collaborative fashion. For example, in a recent day staff completed an exercise called “The Game of Life”, which highlights how much more effective it is to work as a team, something that was particularly impactful with the Senior Leadership Team. The management team have individual monthly review meetings with the Group CEO and CFO, which includes an overview and formal review of their individual and team’s performance from the previous month. Managers also have a formal six-month performance development review with the Group CEO, which focuses on their own personal development, performance and overall growth. The recent introduction of the 360-degree feedback process also provides employees with the opportunity to appraise their Managers and provide them with feedback on any growth and development areas that can be incorporated into future training and appraisal processes.
Eames have recently introduced an extended lunch break of 1.5 hours on a Tuesday for people wanting to go to the gym or partake in any other fitness activity. They have also introduced the Ride to Work scheme, which again was requested by a number of employees. In addition to the fruit they already offered, the company now also provide a range of herbal teas and have even put a table football in the kitchen to encourage employees to take some respite from work and thus reduce stress levels. Eames understands and appreciates the importance of a healthy work life balance to mitigate the risk of workplace stress; therefore they provide employees with the opportunity to work compressed or reduced hours to ensure that they can spend valuable time with their families and juggle work with any family commitments that they may have. In addition to all this, Eames also enable their employees to work from home on a regular or ad hoc basis upon request based on their individual circumstances.

Eames recognise that their people are their biggest asset and as such they are continually seeking to reward and incentivise them. The company have a number of incentives in place that are available to all employees, including a quarterly Director’s lunch and a quarterly high achiever’s day trip, as well as international trips for top performing employees and their partners. One example of these incentives is the annual company trip abroad, which is available to the top twelve performing employees each year. They are taken to an international destination with the Group CEO, staying in luxurious hotels and dining in Michelin starred restaurants for an all-expenses paid long weekend away. The destination changes every year and employees are provided with an update on the leader board for this on a quarterly basis. This incentive is extremely popular and not only displays Eames’s commitment to incentivising employees but it is also particularly effective in building relationships and collaboration across the Group.
