Essex Wildlife Trust are a conservation charity which aim to protect wildlife and inspire a lifelong love for nature.
Essex Wildlife Trust (EWT) started as a volunteer led organisation. It has grown from that to a place where they now employee around 200 people. Whatever role they have in the organisation, people generally work there because they are passionate about protecting and conserving wildlife across the county and so everyone that works for EWT are all united by a passion for the environment and nature.
This means that there is a very positive feel about the place. Everyone wants to do their best because they want the best outcomes for nature. There are a diverse group of disciplines throughout the organisation from ecologists, to financiers, to retail specialists, to fundraisers to H&S specialists to rangers on wildlife sites. A great mix of people all in place specifically to support one another. The charity aims to work informally yet highly professionally to achieve the best outcomes for nature in a happy and fulfilling work environment.
