He believes in a hands on approach and operating in a flat structure environment whereby he and the other directors interact with all levels within the business and sit in an open plan environment. FDM's business model centres around ongoing employee development recruiting hundreds of graduates each year. They complete the 12 week IT training in various specialist areas and in return for providing the training, they commit to two years employment where they are deployed at FDM's client sites and gain valuable experience with high profile organisations. Their development is ongoing whilst they are working at FDM's client sites with access to their learning materials so they can continue to improve their skills and knowledge. Beyond FDM's IT Consultants, the focus of continual development extends to all their employees with encouragement being emphasised on further training and development for all their staff whether they are in sales, finance, HR etc. Facilitating opportunity is what makes FDM an exciting place to work as they prefer to progress and develop internal staff rather than source expertise outside of the business where feasible.


FDM are a very active organisation encouraging any sports activities that help employees to interact in a more social environment. They have football, netball and volleyball teams which employees can get involved in and compete in an informal setting. They also have lots of employees taking part in marathons, bike rides, strong man conpetitions and other various activities which are in aid of charitable organisations.
