Featurespace is one of the world’s leading organisations in enterprise financial crime prevention for fraud and Anti-Money Laundering. Born out of Cambridge University, by Professor Bill Fitzgerald and Dave Excell, Featurespace invented Adaptive Behavioural Analytics and created the ARIC platform, a real-time machine learning software that risk scores events in more than 180 countries to prevent fraud and financial crime.
ARIC Risk Hub uses advanced, explainable anomaly detection to enable financial institutions to automatically identify risk, catch new fraud attacks and identify suspicious activity in real-time. More than 30 major global financial institutions are using ARIC to protect their business and their customers.
Featurespace's success emanates from the passion of putting its customers at the forefront of every decision. Behind this its core values are lived and breathed in each of its locations, as its global expansion continues from the UK to the USA and into APAC.
The culture of Featurespace has remained a consistent and crucial factor in times of intense growth and development. The fun, innovative and enigmatic team atmosphere is contagious and is what sets Featurespace apart from its competitors.
“Having read the “best companies to work for” league table for many years and admired the hard work of those receiving accolades, I’m bowled over to learn we have achieved an “outstanding” accreditation in our first year of entry. Congratulations to all of our team members at Featurespace and a huge thank you for your engagement in our company and our mission on behalf of our customers” - Martina King, CEO
During the pandemic, the CEO has hosted weekly 'All Hands' calls over zoom, as an opportunity for everyone to get together digitally, cascade important information to ensure transparency throughout the organisation and offer a forum for anonymous questions to be asked in confidence.
In these calls the senior leadership team have consistently celebrated successes, birthdays, anniversaries and other important personal and professional milestones. They have recognised personal performance and achievements through shout outs and customer testimonials, whilst also giving the team regular updates on financials, their people and wellbeing strategy, as well as alleviating any concerns raised candidly to maintain transparency.
Featurespace have made the reintroduction back to office working as flexible as possible and on a voluntary basis. They understand that their teams have many concerns and challenges to juggle, so they empower the teams to make a decision that they are comfortable with around their working pattern and location. They believe that by doing so, the team will feel secure and more effective in their roles and by giving people the choice, they are confident that is in keeping with their values of honesty and generosity.
