Gloucester City Homes (GCH) is an independent registered housing association which owns and manages over 4,000 rented homes, sheltered housing properties, leasehold properties, shared ownership properties, commercial units and homeless units.
GCH was created just over 15 years to manage the City's housing stock; they successfully delivered improvements to their stock and achieved a 3 Star accreditation from the Audit Commission.
From the beginning, GCH has focused on having a positive impact on those in the local community and for the employees who work for them.
GCH offer a welcoming atmosphere for all, where everyone's input is valued and help and support is always on offer. GCH is always looking to the future and seeking to inspire a positive change both internally and externally.
The Housing Association is keen to reward employees for their efforts over the year. As part of their 'One Team Reward', they have given all employees additional days leave over Christmas to celebrate an increase in their customer satisfaction measure. Alongside their 'One Team' reward, GCH also allocate managers a budget to enable them to give 'Real Time Rewards' to teams or individuals - this allows managers to acknowledge exceptional effort at the time and to give employees a reward that they know they will appreciate; this has varied from shopping vouchers, cakes, breakfast to a team canoeing trip.
