Ice Comms leadership team has engaged with colleaguesthrough the pandemic with regular communication and providing an open platformto communicate concerns on a confidential basis. The return to office-based working wasmanaged via a traffic light system. Team members wear a green, amber or redwrist band; red to signal a level of anxiety about the pandemic and to keepcommunication to a minimum, amber to signify a willingness to communicate at asafe distance and green to signal no concerns or issues.
Managers are encouraged to communicate with eachother on a regular basis to provide mentoring and for help with problemsolving. All managers have unrestrictedaccess to senior management and the board of directors. The directors communicated regularly withmanagers during the pandemic lockdown to offer support and an opportunity tovoice concerns.
Various initiatives were implemented once Ice Commsoffices re-opened. Employees living withvulnerable individuals were encouraged to continue working from home andemployees with children continued to work from home where necessary untilschools and nurseries re-opened. Employees also receive a hamper or unique gift as a thank you formaintaining high standards during the lockdown and office closures.
