As an economic development agency, Invest Northern Ireland's role is to grow the local economy. They do this by helping new and existing businesses to compete internationally and by attracting new investment to Northern Ireland.
They are part of the Department for the Economy and provide strong government support for business by effectively delivering the Government's economic development strategies.
The overall goal at Invest Northern Ireland is to help create wealth for the benefit of the whole community. To achieve their goals, Invest Northern Ireland work in partnership with many other organisations across Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK.
Invest NI is divided into eight operational groups, each headed by an Executive Director. They are responsible for managing the delivery of the agency's support programmes and services.
