Kia Motors is an automotive manufacturer that can trace it's roots back to the mid 1940's. The company is part of a large organisation globally - part of Hyundai Motor Group. They place their employees at the heart of everything that they do, and ensure to provide them with an excellent benefits package.
The organisation have an ambition to 'become one of the UK's leading car brands appealing to all types of customers by delivering excellent products and outstanding service.
Kia know that their employees will play a huge role in hitting this target. To reward employees for the hard work that they do, Kia introduced on a quarterly basis employee briefing which the whole company attends. During these briefings they issue core value awards which are awards for outstanding performance during the quarter that are linked to the organisation's values. This gives employees public recognition in front of their colleagues as well as a £250 experience voucher. Kia have made these awards unique as they allow all employees to put forward nominations rather than purely the senior management team deciding.
