Prestige Telecom Group is a leading communications company that provides businesses with innovative technology solutions proven to increase and improve operational efficiency.
The Hampshire-based firm, which was established in 2014, has experienced unprecedented success thanks to the strong foundations put in place by Managing Director, Sean Rhodes, and Sales Director, Andrew Rodgers, and a mission to provide the very best solutions for their customers.
The company is as committed to their staff as they are their customers, with regular bonding days out or trips away, as well as incentives such as a giveaway trip to Las Vegas.
When the pandemic hit in Spring 2020, Prestige Telecom Group ensured the mental wellbeing of staff was priority. Care packages were sent to all team members working from home, and daily team meetings and quizzes were held to ensure staff remained positive and happy.
The company’s ‘young at heart’ approach offers a ‘work hard, play hard’ ethos that employees find both dynamic and fun. The Directors and Management continuously lead by example, with a strong belief that how they behave is critical to engaging the rest of the workforce and ensuring everyone is committed to the direction of the business.
Through personal development and a thorough recruitment process, the organisation finds the right people and helps them to demonstrate their six core values of ‘Be Prestigious’; ‘Tell Us Never’; ‘Relentlessly Pursue Excellence’; ‘Never Stand Still’; ‘Learn from Our Mistakes’; and ‘Embrace Change’.
“Stars can't shine without darkness – and we could not be more delighted to receive this recognition. We want to be a great place to work and relentlessly look at ways to engage our team on a professional and personal level. The confidence of individuals has grown, and these three stars show the improvements we have made and how much our employees value them.” Sean Rhodes – CEO
From a physical perspective, Prestige Telecom Group has implemented Covid-19 safety measures across the office to ensure social distancing and cleanliness. All staff are socially distanced at their desks, they have their temperature checked upon entry of the building and anyone who has a high temperature needs to isolate at home. Further to this, they also have a one-way system in place and the employees have staggered breaks so to not have too many people in the break-out area.
When it comes to mental wellbeing, they have introduced a Head of Talent and Culture who has been running one-to-one meetings with all staff to ensure they are feeling comfortable in their roles. Further to this, the company has met with all managers to ensure they have the correct framework to have sensitive conversations with employees if needed.
Prestige Telecom Group believes in the philosophy that ‘Happy People Sell’ and place much focus on team interaction. To make the office environment as fun and interesting as possible when colleagues start to return, the firm has invested in a 38-metre artificial jungle wall, as well as pingpong tables, arcade machines and air hockey in the break room.
Employee engagement is paramount at Prestige Telecom Group, and their continuous management suite, bolstered by the help of communications platforms such as Workplace by Facebook, Microsoft Teams and Zoom, has helped them be more connected than ever. Initiatives to engage employees include recreation videos, where staff had to cover the famous Beatles song, ‘Here Comes the Sun’, as well as competitions to take on an Olympic sport and win gold. The company’s Directors, HR Manager and Head of Brand also delivered care packages containing treats and goodies to employees as a surprise.
