About Randstad CPE

With their human forward approach, Randstad work with clients and candidates in the construction, property and engineering industries to find jobs and fill vacancies in temporary and permanent roles.

Randstad are a team of honest and professional people, who like to work hard but smart, and have fun along the way. They have evolved from a local Southampton-based recruitment company established 40 years ago to developing a national presence by becoming part of the Randstad global brand in 2007. Now with the leverage of being part of a large corporate business, they have the capital investment but still manage to maintain their boutique agency approach.

Randstad seek to inspire entrepreneurship with the support of a centralised service centre support team; their branch network around the UK, function with some great tools and expertise. Teams are bursting with trainees and experienced recruitment consultants who love smashing targets and working in a fast paced, competitive environment.

Those that lead the business have over 100 years of experience between them, with several of their directors starting their career as a trainee consultant in their own company; a true promotion from within methodology.

Randstad support and train all employees to be the best they can be, with on the job training and coaching in branch and through their RISE onboarding and qualification programme. Their desire to celebrate success, including at the annual conference, keeps teams motivated to continue to strive for more success.

Randstad have two management leadership courses that are recognised and accredited by the ILM; Leadership Essentials (ILM 3) for first line managers in their first two years of management, and Advanced Development (ILM4) for established managers.

Randstad do not operate formal annual appraisals, having replaced these with "Great Conversations" in 2018. This ensures all conversations are Meaningful, Aspirational and Progress-focused (MAP goals), which runs through not only review meetings, but all other meetings and career conversations, including kick-off meetings, team time, wrap ups and one to ones.
