Scape was established in 2006 and provides a range of fully managed construction frameworks, property services, architectural design solutions and joint ventures. They are public sector owned with 6 local authority shareholders who have been collaborating since the 1950's. They therefore have a deep understanding and empathy with the challenges faced by the public sector.
In 2006, Scape had seven employees but through significant growth in the construction framework market, and the creation of a Joint Venture with Nottinghamshire County Council, they now have over 170 employees supporting and delivering services.
There is a strong belief that the organisations values are what make it such a great place to work. People at Scape genuinely want to make a difference to the world people live in and are passionate about providing built environment solutions that deliver this to their communities.
With the significant growth they have seen, Scape have recently moved to new premises offering a contemporary and welcoming working environment with plenty of space for formal and informal collaboration.
Reward can vary across the group due to the nature of their businesses, however, the most effective reward is non financial through recognition and thanks. Scape created an employee awards ceremony that are awarded at the Christmas Party to around 25 employees who have demonstrated commitment, excellent performance on a specific project or excellent behaviours.
