Science and Technology Facilities Council are excellence in this area and have earned a Silver IiP award during the last 12 months, and they have also won the IoP award for Best Practice in Professional Development in October.
They offer a wide range of support as all employees have a personal L and D plan which they review regularly with their managers, they have a thriving mentoring scheme, an award winning graduate training scheme and advanced engineering apprenticeship scheme, they have a Future Leaders programme. All staff benefit from a wide range of in-house courses and are supported to attend external courses and conferences as appropriate for their job role and future development. The management development programme (CRISTAL) has a unique format which allows participants to follow a 3 day programme which they can tailor to their individual needs based on their 360 degree feedback. Science and Technology Facilities Council encourage staff to achieve full membership of their relevant professional Institution and their graduate training scheme is accredited by the IMechE, the IET and the IoP.
