About Sewell Group

Sewell Group works with public sector and select commercial clients in construction, facilities management and estates strategy, whilst also supporting and serving local communities through 13 retail convenience outlets.

They are a family-run business and have served Yorkshire and the Humber for over 140 years, with their people and culture at the heart of everything they do. Sewell pride themselves on their commitment to support, train, develop and reward employees. In return, they ask that their employees work hard, live the company behaviours and have some fun along the way.

Culture is a massive part of the day to day life at Sewell and the Group asks for all employees to follow their core principles of: Be Positive; Be Professional; Be Customer Focused; Be a Team Player; Always Do the Right Thing.

Every January, Sewell host a five-day event to reflect on the previous year and inspire and motivate for the year ahead. They celebrate their successes whilst recognising lessons learnt. Various sessions are held during the week, focusing on CPD, leadership and wellbeing, delivered by their senior management team, talent pipeline delegates and leaders, with some guest speakers along the way.

Business Bootcamp is designed for new and developing managers, with the aim to provide a toolkit of management training to support them holistically. 

Sewell have been working with qualified clinical psychologists and neuropsychologists from the Sphere Memory and Rehabilitation Team, to bring more understanding, learning and information to their people about themselves, their body and their health.
