To ensure that SolutionsPT have a pipeline of talent to feed the technical areas within their business, they have successfully introduced 'degree apprenticeship' opportunities by partnering with a local university. They fully fund the degree and pay the apprentices a salary whilst they work for them four days per week. They follow their technical career path which will provide them with a variety of career options should they continue to work for the company after graduating in four years.
So far this has proven to be a great way of attracting talent, while providing people with the bespoke training required. It has also allowed the organisation to develop a pipeline of talent which enables continuous progression within the business.
As a financial 'thank you', SolutionsPT give shopping vouchers to staff who go over and above what is required in their roles. These people may have worked extended hours, managed difficult projects or taken on additional responsibility. They also use TINYpulse, a cloud based application which allows employees to send a virtual 'thanks' to their colleagues via a mechanism called 'Cheers for Peers'.
