St Giles helps those facing severe disadvantage to find jobs, homes and support and become positive contributors to society. St Giles empowers clients to lead positive lives.
The culture of St Giles speaks for itself and they are determined to give second chances. They are keen to develop staff and also have a high percentage of employees with long service. The organisation started as a homelessness charity over 50 years ago and since identified the hardships those with experience in the criminal justice system face.
Not only do St Giles look after their local communities most vulnerable people, but they also make a conscious effort to help their own people, too.
St Giles have an Employee Assistance Programme which offers free 24/7 advice and support, and free counselling sessions. They also have an in-house counsellor who volunteers to support staff and volunteers.
St Giles have a network of qualified and chartered psychologists nationally who can offer clinical supervision to staff whenever required, staff and managers can arrange this directly. There are also online seminars available to staff with topics including mental health well-being, stress management and how to maintain work-life balance.
