St Michael's provides a full range of services to support people at the end of their life and their loved ones. This includes inpatient care; support at home; bereavement care and education to other professionals involved in end of life care.
St Michael's is the result of an inspirational vision by a small group of Herefordshire professionals 35 years ago, who were passionate that people deserve decent, dignified and compassionate care at the end of their lives.
They believed the focus of support should be enabling the person to live life to the full right up to the very end. The community has benefited from the passion and drive ever since and recognises this through its generous and unstinting support, without which their hospice wouldn't be here.
St Michael's believe in treating people fairly, reasonably and with respect. They value transparency, candour, collaborative working, common-sense, diversity and inclusion.
Their vision is that everyone in Herefordshire and the surrounding areas who needs and wants palliative care has timely access to it and in a way that suits them.
