The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) is the world's largest and most influential professional body for construction management and leadership. The organisation has a Royal Charter to promote the science and practice of building and construction for the benefit of society.
This means that the work they do really makes a difference not just to their members, but to anyone and everyone who is a user of the built environment - whether that be houses, schools, offices, hospitals or their infrastructure to name a few.
CIOB are thought leaders on topics such as modern slavery, mental health and quality within the construction industry. More than that, they have a fantastic group of people working for them who are passionate, committed and work incredibly hard to ensure that they achieve those goals. Everyone says how welcoming and friendly they are as an organisation, and they make sure all new employees feel part of Team CIOB.
Over the last couple of years, CIOB have reworked their induction process to cover the full first three months. Hiring managers set objectives for each month within this period and draw up a comprehensive programme to allow their new employees to meet their colleagues across the organisation and build up their knowledge both of the organisation and their role.
