The University of Surrey Students' Union is a not-for-profit, student-run organisation that represents all University of Surrey students at a local and national level.
The Students' Union has existed since the 1960s. It is their aim to ensure students have the best possible experience whilst at Surrey and this includes getting involved in a club or society, becoming a volunteer, standing in an election as an officer or becoming a member of the staff team.
They are a close team and continue to support each other. The Union are very flexible and always willing to help each other regardless of position held in the organisation.
The Union have introduced a new pilot scheme for their full time staff team that means they can have unlimited annual leave. This still means that team members have to request annual leave, and get approval, but ultimately gives employees a better work and life balance, and means that they should not need to worry too much about using up annual leave day's.
