Virtual1 are one of the UK's leading digital service providers and pride themselves on the fact that they are among the UK's fastest growing telecoms business.

Founded March 2007, the year 2010 proved to be a pivotal moment in the history of Virtual1 as they launched their award-winning customer management portal, '1Portal'. The portal allows partners to quote, order and manage all of their services in real time. This innovative product allowed them to have a competitive edge and they continue to invest in innovation to create new products and services.

Whilst Virtual1 continues to grow in size, it is paramount to them that they never lose their family feel which creates a fantastic working culture where everyone is treated equally. A way that they maintain this is by operating an open floor policy within their working environment, meaning no employee is isolated.

Virtual1 have introduced a performance management application with the aim to encourage employees and managers to have ongoing discussions around performance and development rather than waiting for appraisals to have these important conversations.

Virtual1 currently uses a platform called Workplace which is utilised for both formal and informal communication. Anything from live streaming companywide updates to photos of their best performers being recognised by being taken out of the office for a day to go sailing can be found on the Workplace.

Virtual1 made a conscious decision in the past year to cut down on the amount of paper they use in the office. They transitioned to using Docusign for electronic signatures for the contracts and invoices that they send out.
