Warrington Collegiate’s training plan has five key elements: 1. Leadership. In 2011, the organisation re-organised the collegiate in response to Ofsted feedback and national public spending cuts. 2. Teaching & Learning. Warrington Collegiate’s extensive teaching and learning training programme provides workshops and coaching to ensure that their teachers can excel in their roles. 3. Professional updating. All individuals continuously update their professional skills to ensure they are leading edge and deliver to future industry needs. 4. Mandatory training. A mandatory training programme is provided to all staff covering Health & Safety, Safeguarding and Equality & Diversity. Developments are underway to introduce an on-line refresher programme in these areas. 5. Engagement. In 2011, they ran a programme of workshops for all staff designed to meet their personal priorities and needs. These fun workshops include: motor vehicle maintenance, personal finance, healthy cooking, building a barbeque, Zumba and stress busting.
