Wieden and Kennedy are a London advertising agency run by Chief Executive Officer Neil Christie. They create strong and provocative relationships between companies and their customers.
The agency’s work builds cultural influence and value for some of the world’s biggest brands and some ambitious challengers. In a recent survey among 1,850 CMOs, Wieden and Kennedy emerged as their favourite ad agency, voted best all round by 68% of respondents.
The proof of the pudding is the Google leaderboard for most popular ads on YouTube, where the agency’s track record is unparalleled. In 2015, they were ranked number one, with eight of the world’s ten most watched ads that year.
The secret is in the company ethos. They’re pretty much the world’s only privately owned agency network, meaning they don’t answer to a holding company or shareholders, or have internal hierarchies, power struggles, mergers or acquisitions. This allows them to focus on their clients and attract the world’s best talent.
