About Academia - The Technology Group

The Academia Technology Group, founded in 2003, are a fast-growing group of technology companies. The firm partner with world-class vendors such as Apple, Adobe, Microsoft and HP to provide elite technology solutions across a range of markets.

The company provide IT solutions and training for education providers that includes curriculum consultancy and development and technical integration. For businesses, they offer flexible solutions with affordable payment plans. And for charities, they offer reliable and affordable IT infrastructure.

Academia Technology Group are based in Enfield, North London, and employ almost 100 dedicated professionals across multiple locations throughout the UK. The group have an annual turnover of £50m.

The business’ MD and founder is Mike Bacon, who encourages a philosophy of treating customers and suppliers with respect, and building relationships based on mutual openness and honesty. The firm have an anti-bribery policy and a modern slavery statement.

A communication policy drives effective communication through a dial-in Monday morning meeting for the full team, weekly team meetings and individual one-to-one catch-ups between staff members and their direct manager. Fun challenges relating to wellness and 'shout outs' for work well done also feature.
