ACT are a training provider based in Cardiff, Wales, that helps people over the age of 16 to reach their full potential. Whether it’s providing traineeships, apprenticeships or employability training, their aim is always the same: to make a difference to people’s lives by providing excellent learning programmes.
Last year alone, the company helped more than 6,500 young people achieve their career ambitions, worked alongside 700 businesses and recruited 75 young apprentices for employers.
The core values that sit at the heart of the business include having a ‘can do’ attitude, taking pride in exceeding people’s expectations, raising people’s aspirations, having fun and showing deep respect for individuals.
ACT Training was established in 1988 and are led by chief executive officer Andrew Cooksley, who has an open-door policy and engages with employees as much as possible. For example, he attends all new staff inductions once a month and encourages messages, emails and drop-ins from any member of staff who has concerns about anything work-related.
