About AFG LAW

AFG LAW provide a full range of legal services for property, family, criminal and dispute resolution matters to individual and business clients.

Formed over 100 years ago, the firm still maintains its traditional values to this day, delivered with a modern approach. They have always believed that the employees are their greatest asset and will support them in every aspect of their career development.

AFG LAW offer training to every employee and they are able to choose what they want to learn. The firm pays for this and encourages all staff in their own personal development. They have also launched volunteer days recently where employees can take time out of work to support local charities and initiatives and are given this time back by the firm.

Seeking to enhance the wellbeing of employees, AFG LAW have a mobile massage therapist who goes to its offices monthly. All employees have access to treatments, hypnotherapy and some counselling services. The firm also encourages employees to leave their desks at lunchtimes and have breakout areas in each office for them to use.

AFG believes that their involvement in the local community can be wide ranging and goes beyond just giving free legal advice. AFG LAW's people have many skills and talents that can make a difference to the communities in which they operate. They sponsor local sports clubs and teams and have members of staff in voluntary and unpaid positions in these clubs and teams.

AFG LAW hold an annual charity night to raise funds for three local charities. In addition to providing staff to work on the event which is a significant amount of time planning, organising and securing sponsors/raffle prizes and selling tables, they also buy two tables at the event and always round up proceeds.

The firm hold regular departmental meetings, fee earner meetings and director meetings. Their 2019 Summer BBQ was borne from the directors wanting to give something back to their staff so they hired a venue and put on entertainment and food for staff and their partners.
