Leadership
Agrovista's chairman knows everyone's name and is happy to make time to see or call any member of staff if they wish to discuss something with him. He interacts well at all levels and always makes time for anyone who wishes to see him. An example of his involvement is that he always makes a point of contacting every employee on their birthday to wish them 'Happy Birthday'.
Personal Growth
They operate an 'Agrovista Academy' which provides suggestions of different learning activities for all types of roles. These range from informal activities which employees can put into practice in a local workplace to academic qualifications. These are open to all employees and the organisation finance all training requests submitted through the academy. Agrovista currently have people undertaking IT training, finance qualifications, agricultural training, commercial skills training, health and safety and driving qualifications.
My Company
Agrovista have held focus groups to consider the results and obtain suggestions from employees on how they can improve the results in the future. One suggestion was for a company charity, this suggestion was implemented and many events have taken place which employee feedback has shown they have enjoyed.
