Alpha is the leading global consultancy to the asset and wealth management industry. They began their journey over 10 years ago, with a vision to create a unique organisation which offers unrivalled specialist knowledge to the worlds top asset managers.
People are the most important asset within Alpha, especially future employees. Once an employee has accepted a job offer, they remain engaged with them throughout the period the offer has been accepted to when the employee formally joins. This includes invites to the Alpha company meeting, where the company share small and large achievements with the wider team, followed by a company social and more informal events such as board games nights and city walking tours.
Alpha has multiple systems of reward for all employees. Two particularly effective forms of reward are the profit share system and share option awards. The profit share process means that at the end of each financial year the profits from the business will be paid out at a percentage of the employees salary. As employees progress through their careers at Alpha this percentage increases, which motivates them to build their careers within the company.
A key focus area for wellbeing at Alpha has been on breaking down the stigma around mental health and ensuring they cultivate a supportive and informed workplace where individuals can engage in dialogue around mental health and raise any issues without fear of negative consequences.
Wellbeing champions have been recently introduced to the business. These are a group of carefully selected individuals of various levels who received formal training in mental health first aid. They provide a 'stepping stone' towards formal support by confidentially providing more insight into the options available inside and outside of Alpha.
