About Apex Hotels Ltd

With 12 sites across the UK, Apex Hotels provides accommodation, food and beverages, conference and events services, and spa and leisure facilities.

Since founder Norman Springford opened the first Apex Hotel in Edinburgh’s Grassmarket in 1996, the company has expanded to locations in London, Bath, Glasgow and Dundee. Norman’s son, Ian Springford, took over as Chairman in 2015. Originally opening with three-stars, the independent, family-owned collection of contemporary hotels now boasts four stars.

In 2018, they plan to launch an employee app to improve communication between staff and senior management. In order to improve staff wellbeing, Apex Hotels run a stress risk assessment. From this, they introduce adjustments when necessary.

In addition, they have an Employee Assistance Programme, supported by UNUM, that works to address financial worries, workplace stress challenges, addiction or relationship matters.
