There is a monthly one to one review process to review work-life balance and stress and develop strategies to combat. Managers hold a Monthly team meeting to ensure workload is acceptable and work together where any issues are identified. Training and development is given to increase competency in the employees job role and also monthly standardisation to increase competency in the employees' job role.

Integral to the strategy for employee development is a training matrix that specifies the training requirements for all job roles. This provides a means for both the company and individual employees to track development and plan for training events throughout the year. An area of particular success has been the step-change improvement in management training. Following feedback at a Best Companies event, the company have engaged Purple cubed to undertake a series of practical, largely non-academic training events for all managers and aspiring managers. These events have been both enjoyable and successful and will be continued during 2014.

An integral aspect of fulfilling the requirements of government funding is conducting standardisation meetings to identify best practice and regularise performance across the business. These events have increasingly added value by encouraging wider participation, including best practice sharing between the English and Welsh businesses.
