Every Thursday, the CEO and other directors are out of the office on site visits meeting and discussing progress and issues with colleagues. Everyone in the organisation knows the CEO's email and is encouraged to contact him directly.

Avant operate a quarterly ideas and innovation award called 'Think'. This comes form the CEO who invites colleagues to email them with ideas for improvement and change. The CEO then judges the ideas and the colleague with the winning idea receives a cash prize and is invited to get involved in developing the idea into practice.
