About Barbon Insurance Group Ltd

Established in 1992, Barbon Insurance Group are the UK's largest tenant referencing and specialist lettings insurance company.

Barbon’s values, which were created with the help of employees, are examples of how employee’s work on a day-to-day basis. These values consist of one team, ownership, innovation, respect and fairness.

Martin Totty, Chief Executive Officer of Barbon Insurance Group, sites his employees as a hugely important part of the company, saying: “the passion, enthusiasm, expertise and dedication they bring to work every day ultimately makes us who we are”.

Barbon Insurance Group’s general waste is taken to a centre with a no waste to landfill policy. Additionally, the waste contractor plants trees on the company’s behalf, resulting in an estimated 117 trees planted per year.

This year has seen the launch of ‘Leading the Barbon Way’, a modular programme whereby managers can choose the areas of development that are appropriate for them, based on some psychometric testing and gaps identified in a development plan.
Barbon have a relaxing wellbeing room available to all employees, as well as a licensed holistic therapist who visits once a month. They also have numerous break out and quiet areas for everyone to enjoy, complete with TVs and pool tables.

In September 2018, they installed an electric vehicle charging point - free for anyone using it - to encourage employees and visitors to make green choices for travelling. The company also runs a range of charitable initiatives, raising over £25,000 for charity last year.
