SINCE 2000, the team at Beaverbrooks has raised £10m for good causes, including donating 20% of its post-tax profits to charity. Last year more than £10,000 was collected from the high-street jeweller’s first skydive. The 870 staff, spread across 70 sites, get two paid days a year for voluntary work. They give their employer, based at St Annes-on-Sea, Lancashire, an 84% positive score for having a strong social conscience.
