BI Worldwide offer £100 per employee per year to support any development activity, whether work related or not. This helps to promote the simple idea that all development is good. This year the company have been able to provide all employees with access to over 300 e-learning titles and have deliberately made every subject at every level available to every employee. BI Worldwide also use Learning at Work week to encourage employees with particular skills or knowledge to share what they know with others. This year the company presented sessions ranging from healthy eating to behavioural economics.

BI Worldwide’s Good Neighbour Committee has been an enormous success this year, allowing employees to give their time to the local community. So far staff have designed a website for the Brooklands Centre in Newport Pagnell and volunteered to support the Newport Pagnell Civil War Weekend during the August Bank Holiday. 24 employees also volunteered to help out at this year’s Newport Pagnell Carnival and 16 employees joined other local firms and organisations for the council’s ‘Clean for the Queen’ initiative in July. 12 employees made a fantastic job of deep cleaning the kitchen and cleaning two large patios at the centre. BI Worldwide have also seen a tremendous response from associates for taking an hour out to inspire school students seeking more information about the working world. So far this academic year, some 24 associates have volunteered for this initiative through Worktree.

BI Worldwide are presently leading the way through a process of refreshing the values and agreeing, through workshops with employees, what behaviours are driven by each of the values. This will ensure full engagement with the behaviours once they are launched. Furthermore this activity is being led by the MD. On a more regular basis, the company's mission, values and vision are embedded in all internal communications, all in-house training and in all briefings delivered by the Managing Director. Employees demonstrating the core values are rewarded through the internal reward recognition scheme, which itself is overtly aligned to the values. Examples of the above are the Internal Intranet, New Starter Inductions, Company Meetings, ENGAGE emails and Questionnaires.
