What is it like to work for Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre Trust Ltd

Leadership
Leadership
Birmingham Hippodrome's CEO meets all new starters and meets all staff every quarter through staff communication meetings.  The CEO carries out staff communication meetings every quarter with all staff, so staff are briefed on aims, financial results, shows booked and what's happening in the business. Staff can ask questions and raise matters also. These are then cascaded down through team briefs to all staff via managers. All directors have an open door policy allowing decisions to be made following a quick conversation. Formalised meetings do take place every fortnight for all managers and directors.
Giving Something Back
Giving Something Back
As an unsubsidised charity Birmingham Hippodrome are committed primarily to delivering artistic excellence and attracting the broadest range of audiences to a diverse international programme. As part of that ambition they are growing their Creative Programme - encompassing their education and community activity, their access initiatives for disabled audiences, and expanding their performance schedule outside the building with free public events and festivals. This is achieved through their own investment and with project donations and grants from public and private partners. Thousands of beneficiaries including school children, students, disabled groups, children and young adults with special educational needs enjoy many outstanding experiences, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of live performance in a memorable way that really makes a lasting difference.
My Company
My Company
Every year Birmingham Hippodrome ask consultants to meet with all staff to gain their views on their business and ways they can improve. This results in an action plan to resolve issues or if they cannot implement a suggestion they feed this back to staff with reasons. Using outside consultants they find staff open up more with their true feelings. In addition staff communication meetings take place every quarter where staff can ask questions direct to the CEO.
