About bpha

bpha are a housing association that are committed to providing their customers with high quality, value-for-money services while continuing to develop energy efficient, sustainable and affordable housing. Their goal is to create places where everyone feels proud to live.

Based in Bedford, they work together with communities to improve opportunities, independence and quality of life for residents that, in turn, benefits the wider community.

They were founded in 1990 following a consultation with North Bedfordshire tenants who voted in favour of the creation of a housing association to manage their properties. Today, their services include a range of rented homes, housing for older people and low-cost home ownership.

The company owns more than 18,000 homes, employs more than 350 staff, and have an outstanding track record of delivering, on average, 500 new homes every year for the last decade.

Key performance indicators for each manager’s area of responsibility are reported and reviewed on a monthly basis. Monthly meetings are held with the respective line manager to discuss performance. Their annual appraisal cycle and mid-year review also help to measure management performance.

bpha are keen to build a strong team, the HR team had a Myers Briggs personality consultant visit to carry out a team session with around six employees. This was to help team building and how they work together.
